On this edition of The Art of the Story, WBGO pays tribute to Newark's legendary gospel singer Cissy Houston, who died earlier this week at the age of 91.

Houston was best known for her amazing gospel and pop work and for being the mother of the late pop icon Whitney Houston.

It was back in 2018 that WBGO's Ang Santos covered a street naming ceremony in Cissy's honor and gave us an inspiring feature.
