Juanga Lakunza is a Grammy-nominated versatile trombonist in both jazz and Latin jazz language who performs regularly with bands such as Arturo O'Farrill & The Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Eddie Allen Aggregation Big Band, and Lance Bryant & Shout. His music combines elements from his homeland folkloric music as well as Afro-Cuban rhythms all in a modern jazz conceptual language.

For this Kids Jazz program, part of the Jersey City Latin Jazz Festival, Juanga will introduce kids to some of these Afro-Cuban rhythms and get them up on their feet dancing.
