Jersey City guitarist left Japan to create a jazz career in the U.S.

Jersey City jazz guitarist Nobuki Takamen grew up in Japan and came to the United States as a young man to study jazz. He’s cobbled together a career playing gigs everywhere from major international jazz festivals to small local venues and teaching guitar.
