A new action film focuses on a man who has been described as a Ukrainian Robin Hood. One of the characters in the film is the founder of hasidic Judaism, who was known as the Baal Shem Tov. They both lived in what is now western Ukraine during the 18th Century.

WBGO’s Jon Kalish caught up with the American actor who portrayed the Baal Shem Tov.
