On this episode of The Art of the Story, we celebrate International Jazz Day. The 2025 edition is being celebrated right now (April 30) in more than 190 countries, with Abu Dhabi selected as the Global Host City.

Organized by UNESCO and the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, today’s celebration has featured educational and cultural initiatives…as well as the All-Star Concert in Abu Dhabi.
Herbie Hancock is one of the headliners of today’s International Day concert that you can SEE at wbgo.org.
The Manhattan Transfer legendary singer Janis Siegel, co-host of Singers Unlimited on WBGO, is also on the bill. She’s joined by many others including Dee Dee Bridgewater, Dianne Reeves, Terri Lyne Carrington, Emmet Cohen, Kurt Elling, Marcus Miller, Arturo Sandaval, John Patitucci, Tia Fuller, and John Pizzarelli.
Happy International Jazz Day!!!
