Host - New StandardsPaul Cavalconte grew up spinning discs from his parents’ expansive record collection in the basement of a big, old house in the Bronx. He had an eclectic musical palate from a young age, with interests spanning rock, pop, jazz, and more. Paul landed his first official radio gig as an on-air student volunteer at Fordham University’s WFUV - one of three New York City radio stations where he currently has hosting duties; Paul also is the weekend morning host of Classical WQXR-FM, and as of April 2025, he is the host and producer of WBGO's New Standards, Wednesday at 6 am and Saturday nights at 10.
