Livestream: WBGO Partners with The Gilmore International Piano Festival for an Inaugural Presentation

Paul Cavalconte's eclectic radio career had made him a familiar voice on many New York stations since the 1980's, with stints in rock, classical and jazz.  It's that branch of Paul's career (including an early start at the historic WNEW-AM, Drive Time stints at CD101.9 and crafting the New Standards great American Songbook showcase for WNYC) that brought him to WBGO in April of 2025. That long running WNYC program, specially tailored for WBGO's storied jazz platform, occupies "the late set" on Saturday nights starting at 10pm, and is available for on-demand streaming on the New Standards page at WBGO.org. Paul is a native New Yorker, born in Queens, raised in The Bronx, and residing in a leafy enclave of Westchester County where he spins the songs and stories from his home studio and vast media library. Since 2013, Paul has been solidly committed to public radio, also hosting programs on classical WQXR and adult rock WFUV, all of which tell his own story of life in the whirl of records and music.
