WBGO’s Jon Kalish has found the social media app Instagram to be a source of very entertaining characters and stories in recent years. Because Jon’s algorithm delivers a lot of videos about bicycles, he met Ben Masters in rural Pennsylvania with a unique home business.

You can find out much about Ben Masters here.

You can see Ben Masters demonstrating his bicycle-powered sewing machine on Saturday, May 16 at the annual Brooklyn Bike Jumble in Park Slope’s Washington Park.

Doug Doyle has been News Director at WBGO since 1998.
