Bronx archive preserves holy relics of Catholic lay order

The Brothers of the Christian Schools is a lay order of the Catholic Church dedicated to education. Founded in 17th Century France, its worldwide headquarters is now in Rome. In recent decades the order has been shrinking. As a result of this contraction, a large amount of material, including holy relics, has been sent to a college in the Bronx where it’s being preserved. WBGO’s Jon Kalish reports…

NOTE: More than 800 students attend a high school in Monmouth County run by the de La Salle Christian Brothers. The order runs a 32-bed skilled nursing care facility in Lincroft.
