This fall WBGO’s Jon Kalish spent two weeks in Finland, a trip inspired in part by an American musician friend who spends part of the year in Helsinki. Jon brought back a few stories from the nation consistently voted the world’s happiest. Today he visits a housing complex built for musicians and roadies…

On the next WBGO Journal, we’ll air an audio post card from Finland that Jon produced, which includes a visit to Lapland, the cafe at Helsinki's public library and overnight trains with special sleeping compartments for people traveling with their dogs.
