Operation Gig pays musicians to perform on Brooklyn porches

Last week we told you to Brooklyn Porch Music, a non-profit in the Ditmas Park section of Brooklyn that teaches local kids how to play musical instruments. There’s another non-profit arts group in the neighborhood that makes use of the porches on those tree-lined streets.

Operation Gig pays professional musicians to perform on the porches of the Victorian homes in Ditmas Park for audiences that sit on the lawn and sidewalk. WBGO’s Jon Kalish reports…
