The Woodsiders Collective is a collaborative jazz band based in Woodside, Queens. The members include trombonist Justus Heher, keyboards player Andrew McGowan, guitarist Yuto Kanazawa and drummer Ilya Dynov. Not pictured is saxophonist Luis Sigüenza.

The Woodsiders Collective is a jazz band based in Woodside, Queens. Its members have all lived in the neighborhood at one time. But they come from around the world, including Ecuador, Germany, Russia and Japan. The group performs three times a month at a cultural center in Woodside, which is also a jam session open to others. WBGO’s Jon Kalish dropped by and talked to the band…
