The Diocese of Rockville Centre includes more than 1.4 million Catholics on Long Island, making it the eighth largest diocese in the United States. It has filed for bankruptcy because it’s facing hundreds of lawsuits as a result of a New York State law that expanded the statute of limitations for sexual abuse claims.

WBGO’s Jon Kalish spoke to attorney Victor Yannacone about the bankruptcy litigation currently playing out in federal court in New York.
