Bone Apple Tea Brass will play an extended set featuring songs from their new album such two Trap (hip-hop) inspired originals, ‘Bone Boy Nu Nu’ and ‘Bone 2 2,’ as well as a brass bam boom bap 90’s hip hop joint ‘BLKGST,’ and a party popper remake of the Isley Brothers hit ‘Work To Do.’ Then, house-band NOTUS will blow everyone away with their high energy sound before kicking off the open jam. “Work To Do” is the freshman EP of Bone Apple Tea Brass. BAT is New York’s premiere flugabone brass band. With a resume that touts members of Lucky Chops, Slavic Soul Party, No BS! Brass and High and Mighty Brass Band. Even though BAT’s was conceived in 2018 it’s subsequent debut EP release is celebration of the renaissance of the Flugabone, which has been popular as of late due to it’s portable nature and the rise of street band performance culture that was experienced in 2020. One could describe the sounds and aura of the flugabone as the love child birthed from a menajahtwa between the baritone trombone and trumpet.
