She is an acclaimed jazz pianist and Icon, whose extraordinary career has spanned over 5 decades. Bertha Hope will join the Jazz by Jorei to celebrate the Live Jazz Series' 2nd year at Sour Mouse NYC!

We'll have a variety showcase, to open for our special guest;Bertha Hope! Hope's performance will be followed by a Jam session and open mic. -This is sure to be a sparkling event!

New York City-based new music collective Wet Ink Ensemble continues its 2022-2023 season with a program of new and recent works written Artist-in-Residence Rick Burkhardt and members of the ensemble on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 at 7:30pm at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music’s Benzaquen Hall. The program features the world premiere of a new octet by composer and Wet Ink cellist Mariel Roberts, along with two New York premieres — So Many Ways by Alex Mincek, an octet that balances Mincek's characteristic hyper-detailed precision and explosive exuberance with delicate lyricism, and the atmospheric soundscapes of Sam Pluta's quintet Star Taker. The program concludes with Prologue by 2022-23 Artist-In-Residence Rick Burkhardt, a quartet that showcases Burkhardt's flare for theatrical chamber music.

Join us for Jazz in the Sanctuary's "Gift to the Giver" concert at Shiloh Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 22 @ 4p, featuring Saxophonist Anthony E. Nelson, Jr. & Increase, Brandon McCune/Piano, Victor Provost/Steelpan, Alvester Garnett/Drums and Kenny Davis/Bass.

Acclaimed jazz guitarist Gil Parris brings his formidable trio to Zinc with special guest Bernie Williams on Monday, October 24. They're supported by bassist Kip Sophos and drummer Joe Piteo.

Grammy-Nominated guitar virtuoso Gil Parris is known for his special blend of Blues, Jazz, Rock, and Smooth Jazz. He has recorded and toured both as a solo artist and sideman with major artists like Dr. John, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Diane Schuur, David Mann, Billy Vera, Bobby Caldwell, and Toni Braxton, to name just a few.
