  • Comedy is back at NJPAC! Join us for an evening with Paula Poundstone, known for her smart, observational humor and spontaneous wit that has become the stuff of legend. She was the first woman to share the dais with the President and perform standup at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. She was the first woman to win the CableACE award for Best Stand-up Comedy Special. And she can be heard weekly as the host of the comedy podcast Nobody Listens to Paula Poundstone, an out-of-control adult education class that meets in a treehouse. Paula continues as a panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! She is recognized in innumerable lists, documentaries, and literary compendiums noting influential standup comedians of our time.
  • Django A Gogo 2021 will conclude with a performance by The Django Experiment to celebrate the CD release of The Django Experiment VI, which was released digitally in January 2021, by performing the recording in its entirety. In addition to heralded guitarist Stephane Wrembel, the band includes Thor Jensen, guitar; Ari Folman-Cohen, bass; Nick Anderson, drums; Daisy Castro, violin; and Nick Driscoll, saxophone/clarinet. Drom is a gypsy-themed club in downtown Manhattan hosting a global roster of performers, ranging from jazz & funk to hip-hop. This show is open to all ages. Drom is adhering to the guidelines as issued by the N.Y. State Department of Health on April 1, 2021.

Vision Festival 25: Breaking Free, Coming Home will bring together the buoyant voices of hundreds of artists of various disciplines—Free Jazz, poetry, visual arts, conversations— to speak the message of hope and justice with unfettered creativity. Since 1996, the Vision Festival has created and guaranteed a space for improvisation as a leading creative language, and has been named “one of New York’s most essential art events” by The New York Times. Vision 25 will take place over seven nights, July 22-23 and 29-30 at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn, and July 24-25 and 31 at The Clemente in the Lower East Side, and all events will be in-person, outdoors and livestreamed.
