In the early 2000s, WBGO brought you Saturday Afternoon Jazz from J&R Music on Park Row in lower Manhattan - live music, once-a-month, on 88.3FM and wbgo.org

In March of 2008, vocalist Catherine Russell, daughter of two well-respected New York musicians (Luis Russell & Carline Ray) brought her quartet to celebrate her second album, Sentimental Streak.
