Silver, who has twice topped the Billboard Traditional Jazz chart,
is thrilled Basie Rocks! has been nominated for "Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album". Basie Rocks! is an 11-track project that reimagines rock classics. The album is made in collaboration with the Count Basie Orchestra, and produced by long-time jazz musician and The Rolling Stones drummer Steve Jordan.

Basie Rocks!, released on May 2 of 2025, with the orchestra’s Musical Director Scotty Barnhart, is packed with hits like Peter Frampton’s smash “Baby I Love Your Way”, a version of The Rolling Stones’ “Paint it Black (with Arturo Sandoval on trumpet), Paul McCartney’s “Band on the Run”, Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love(a duet with Kurt Elling, and Elton John’s “Benny and the Jets” and much more.

Special guest Trombone Shorty is featured along with highly-respected jazz musicians including Sandoval, Elling, Bill Frisell, Wycliffe Gordon, Herlin Riley and George Coleman. Soon to be Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Peter Frampton has a guitar solo on Silver's version of his smash hit "Baby I Love Way".

The 68th Grammy Awards ceremony is set for February 1st in LA.
