On this episode of The Art of the Story, WBGO's Doug Doyle chats with saxophone greats Vincent Herring and Eric Alexander.

Alexander and Herring have reunited for their powerhouse third album, record live at SMOKE Jazz Club, featuring pianist Mike LeDonne, bassist John Webber and drummer Lewis Nash.

Spilt Decision, out August 22nd on SMOKE Sessions Records, celebrates the 20th anniversary of their first saxophone battle.

There are also “Split Decision” Album release shows (August 13-17) at SMOKE Jazz Club in New York City.
