Rachael Price, lead singer of Lake Street Dive, and Brooklyn guitarist and vocalist Vilray have been long-time friends but they didn’t record together until 2019. They've performed at various jazz festivals lately, including Jazz at Lincoln Center second annual The Unity Jazz festival back in January. The duo performs original songs inspired by classic jazz as well as traditional Tin-Pan Alley-style pop.
