The new album will be releasede on December 6 on Smoke Sessions Records and features a stellar band exploring masterpieces from the songbooks of Brazil’s most revered composers…melding the rhythms of Bossa nova, frevo, samba and other styles with Rosnes’s visionary approach to modern jazz.

The Renee Rosnes Quartet just wrapped up a week-long residency at the SMOKE Jazz Club in New York City.

Doug Doyle has been News Director at WBGO since 1998 and has taken his department to new heights in coverage and recognition. Doug and his staff have received more than 250 awards from organizations like PRNDI (now PMJA), AP, New York Association of Black Journalists, Garden State Association of Black Journalists and the New Jersey Society of Professional Journalists.
Brian Delp has been a member of WBGO’s on-air team for more than two decades, most-recently as the long-time host of Jazz After Hours. He has emceed at nearly every major jazz venue in the New York City area and hosted a portion of New York City’s City Parks Foundation’s Charlie Parker Jazz Festival over several summers.
