Hoboken mayor, housing expert join Assembly

Affordability was the key issue in the Assembly district that includes Hoboken and part of Jersey City. Four candidates ran for two seats in the 32nd district… Katie Brennan, a housing expert and urban planner, won one and Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla took the other. Brennan said people want representatives who will fight for them as they struggle with high rents, a generally high cost of living, and failing transit systems. Incumbent Democrats John Allen and Jessica Ramirez did not seek reelection.
