Major airports in the New York City area are expected to be very busy as the summer travel season just kicked off this weekend.

The TSA's Lisa Farbstein says its predicted that more than 40 million people will pass through Newark, JFK and LaGuardia airports this summer season, up about five percent from last year and that would be a new record high.

"If you are flying out of one of these major airports in the city, we definitely encourage you to get here two hours before your ticketed to fly."

She says a common thing that gets flagged at the checkpoint during the summer season, is sun screen bottles that are too large for the carryon liquids rule. That needs to go in checked baggage.
