For many years Michael Bourne put his heart and soul into hosting and curating Singers Unlimited on WBGO. The show highlighted the art of the song, spotlighting the American Popular Songbook and singers of ballads, blues, bossa, be-bop and beyond. Bourne also welcomed iconic singers to the studio, including Joe Williams, Tony Bennett, Nancy Wilson, Jon Hendricks, Antonio Carlos Jobin, and Diana Krall.

Since the passing of Michael Bourne, listeners have been asking when the show will return. The truth is, we didn’t feel comfortable bringing it back. But with audience demand and now two of Michael’s dear friends, WBGO host Lezlie Harrison and Janis Siegel from the Manhattan Transfer, thought it was a good idea to relaunch keeping the original vision, we knew deep in our hearts that this was the right thing to do, and that Michael would approve.
