NY Dems Slam Senate Republicans Stimulus Bill

New York Democrats are criticizing a coronavirus stimulus bill expected to be introduced in the Senate soon.

Senator Chuck Schumer says the Republican bill lacks critical priorities needed to beat back the coronavirus pandemic. “The virus is still raging. They’re foot dragging,” he said.

Congressman Jerry Nadler says it's not even close. “The bill provides no money for elections. It provides no money for maintaining employment," he said. "It provides no money for schools. It provides no money for anything.”

Other Democrats from New York’s Congressional delegation joined them, saying the bill is dead on arrival. The bill reportedly will include money for coronavirus testing, unemployment and airlines.
