Bob Layman, former treasurer of WBGO’s Board of Trustees and long-time volunteer and supporter died last week at the age of 90. He was a great champion of the music and brought tireless energy to the WBGO fund drives for more than three decades.

"Bob, a valued friend whose extreme love for jazz can only be parallel to his support and dedication to the WBGO Family! We will miss him!"

Bob Layman was simply a treasure and a great friend to all of us. He would great us with a wonderful smile and love to talk about the music and sports. We will indeed miss him dearly and send our deepest sympathy to his wife Lynne and his family.
