Featuring his working trio of bassist Ben Allison and drummer Allan Mednard, the same cat that made recordings of Cal Tjader, Sonny Rollins, Cannonball Adderley, Nancy Wilson and Christian McBride, among many others, his percussive energy one moment, his explorative hush the next, is an invitation to share where Michael's experience and intention is on the notes as well as the spaces between.
