WBGO and You: We're In This Together (More Than Ever)

Just over a year ago, WBGO joined countless other organizations in closing our doors and converting to remote operations — an urgent matter of health and safety, but also a major challenge. And we're proud to say WBGO didn't miss a beat in this difficult time.

We made the necessary adjustments and investments so we could be here for you when you needed us most. And now, during our first fund drive of 2021, we need your support to meet our goal of $300,000, which will ensure that the music and news coverage you love can continue.

We Are In This Together: Gary Walker ushers in WBGO's March 2021 fund drive

Last night, WBGO kicked off the drive with a livestream by pianist Emmet Cohen, with saxophonist Melissa Aldana and bassist Russell Hall. Morning Jazz host Gary Walker hosted the event, at Emmet's apartment in Harlem, and in addition to interviewing the artists, he shared a welcoming note about our efforts, which run through March 31.

Part of being in this together means helping those in need — so when you support WBGO this month, we'll make it easy to also donate to the Jazz Foundation of America's COVID-19 Musicians' Emergency Fund. We're all part of the ecosystem that keeps this music vibrant and strong.

Support us by making a pledge online, or by calling 1-800-499-9246.
