Sue Maskaleris and Trio do Rio perform original Brazilian jazz. Sue Maskaleris is a pianist and vocalist and is the composer and lyricist for the group, which includes Nelson Riveros (guitar and vocals), Ariel Robles (electric bass), and Samuel Martinelli (drums). Sue's latest CD, "Love Is the Key," ranked #6 on the Latin Jazz charts of the Roots Radio Report for 2021. Nelson Riveros' "The Latin Side of Wes Montgomery" charted #2 on the JazzWeeks chart last year. Puerto Rico's Ariel Robles played on the Grammy-winning Calle 13 and Brazilian educator/producer Samuel Martinelli has recently founded the Brazilian Rhythm Workshop.
