Singer/songwriter & virtuoso violinist Deni Bonet will perform in concert on Sunday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m. on the library's front plaza.
Attendees will need to bring their own chairs and/or blankets.
In case of rain, the concert will take place indoors.
Deni is a pop/rock singer/songwriter and classically trained violinist who was an original member of the nationally syndicated NPR radio show “Mountain Stage.”
Deni Bonet’s music style ranges from roots-rock to folk pop, which combined with her fun, dynamic and exciting presentation, has earned her a 4 sold-out concerts at Carnegie Hall, a performance at the White House for President Obama, and touring with Cyndi Lauper, recording with R.E.M. and Sarah McLachlan and many others. With a strong following of fans from her previous tours in the US and Europe, her latest album Bright Shiny Objects has gotten rave reviews and airplay on over 60 Adult-Alternative radio stations. Deni was recently honored to be awarded a grant through the Arts Envoy Program of the US Government to spend a month on a residency in Africa teaching violin, songwriting, and rock ’n roll at a music college in Zanzibar.
