Hear the personal journeys of artists who have been through the US prison system in this eye-opening discussion. Topics covered include the role of being an artist while incarcerated, and what it means once prison time is over. Moderated by Jesse Krimes, artist, curator, and the co-founder of Right of Return USA, the first national fellowship dedicated to supporting formerly incarcerated artists. The Arts in the Garden series is a partnership between The Newark Museum of Art & New Jersey Symphony Orchestra to bring you a vibrant outdoor series of concerts, films, and cultural celebrations. All programs will take place in the Museum’s Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Memorial Garden with a limited capacity and safety guidelines to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience.
