RUBYBOO ENTERTAINMENT presents A collection of artistry by Trumpeter Willis Wilson and Vocalist Traci Tota: classic and contemporary Jazz styles.
Wilson is noted for his independent sound - a collection of trumpeting artistry that fuses Jazz, R&B, Funk, Hip-Hop, classic and contemporary Jazz styles to create a new wave in the Contemporary and Classic Jazz formats.
At age 10 young Wilson taught himself to play the family piano. By age 12 he was playing the trumpet, and in high school Wilson started to form collaborative sounds on his own terms. Wilson continued studying the craft of Jazz music at Harlem's own City College. He also studied trumpet with Carnegie Hall Jazz Band Director Jon Faddis and Noted trumpeter and educator Jimmy Owens. After being trained under Sid Baker of the NY Philharmonic in classical music, Wilson was ready for his tour with Mercer Ellington and the Duke Ellington Orchestra. Wilson's CDs "Conversations" and "Revelations" have both received praise worthy reviews .
