Welcome to SUMMER at the JAZZ HOUSE! AUGUST 2-7 + AUGUST 9-14 SUMMER WORKSHOP AWARD-WINNING WORKSHOP is back on the campus of Montclair State University IN PERSON! The 2 Each one-week intensive sessions immerses students in the art of jazz performance and helps them become well-rounded musicians through masterclasses, workshops, ensemble performances and jam sessions with professional musicians. We welcome students to register for both weeks, however each in-person session has a reduced capacity limit. Masterclasses ar led by internationally celebrated female jazz artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Ingrid Jensen, Michela Marino Lerman, Anat Cohen, Regina Carter, and Camila Meza. FAMILY BBQ All students, faculty, friends and families are invited to meet and mingle (socially distant!) for an outdoor BBQ picnic and student jam. Students will sharpen their improvisational tools, develop as composers, participate in a virtual big bands and take part in a noon-time masterclass with CHRISTIAN McBRIDE.
