The performance will illustrate the various ways that Jazz, America's only indigenous art form, incorporated the greatest songs from Musical Theater of the 1920s through the 1970s into the Jazz repertoire. Songs by Broadway's greatest composers, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Frank Loesser, Harold Arlen, Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein and others, will be performed by the Steve Cimino Quartet in creative jazz interpretations of these great works of art.
