Drummer Chris Beck will be in concert at the Englewood Public Library, on Thursday, August 12, at 7:30 p.m. on the library’s front plaza. This will be the 8th concert in the library's 9th annual Summer Jazz Concert Series - "Jazz Under the Stars". This acclaimed series takes place every Thursday evening at 7:30 from June 24 through August 26. The concert series is free and open to the public. The rain date will be Sunday, August 15 at 7:30 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there is a maximum of 100 guests, Englewood library cardholders only, unless maximum not reached; please bring your own chair or blanket, and masks/social distancing is required. Continuing in the music legacies of his father and grandfather, Chris Beck is making a name for himself on the New York scene as a hard-swinging, powerhouse drummer and composer. Beck’s refreshing and soulful vision as an artist is on full display, as is his unique ability to pay homage to the classic straight-ahead style of jazz while infusing elements of his African roots and Gospel upbringing.
