Saxophonist Camille Thurman will be performing with drummer Darrell Green and the Darrell Green Trio at the Englewood Public Library, on Thursday, July 15, at 7:30 p.m. on the library’s front plaza. This will be the 4th concert in the library's 9th annual Summer Jazz Concert Series - "Jazz Under the Stars". This acclaimed series takes place every Thursday evening at 7:30 from June 24 through August 26. The concert series is free and open to the public, but registration is required at tinyurl.com/JUTSgreen For the concert series, there is a maximum of 100 guests; Englewood library cardholders only (unless maximum not reached); please bring your own chair or blanket and masks/social distancing is urged. In the event of rain, the concert would be rescheduled to Sunday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. Downbeat magazine and SF Jazz rising star saxophonist and vocalist Camille Thurman collaborates with the incomparable drummer Darrell Green for a performance debuting original music written during quarantine. They were featured on NPR this past June for a series called “Alone Together Duets,” and recently completed a tour of Africa sponsored by the U.S. State Department and American Music Abroad. Camille is joined by the Darrell Green Trio, featuring Anthony Wonsey on piano, Tom DiCarlo on bass, and Darrell Green on drums. The lineup for the rest of the jazz series is as follows: 7/22.
