WBGO's 2020 Trip to South Africa

Join hosts Sheila Anderson and Wayne Winbourne for WBGO's 2020 trip to South Africa and the Joy of Jazz Festival. The adventure begins in the “Mother City” of Cape Town where you’ll savor the incredible culinary delights and famous wines of the region amidst the towering Table Mountain Range. Enjoy a variety of tours of the city and the Cape of Good Hope including a personal look into local community empowerment projects being undertaken by local community leaders.

You'll visit Johannesburg’s Maboneng district, teeming with up-and-coming South African artists' studios. You’ll walk through the SOWETO neighborhoods where Nelson Mandela began his quest for freedom – all the while reveling in the global music of the 2020 Joy of Jazz Festival!

In addition to attending this extraordinary global music festival you’ll experience a 2 night safari in the spectacular Mabula Game Reserve which will bring you face to face with South Africa’s natural wild life.
