This year, WBGO is partnering with Jersey Cares in the effort to collect as many coats as possible here in New Jersey.
WBGO will be accepting coats from November 1st - December 11th, 2019
For the past 23 years, The Jersey Cares Coat Drive has mobilized the collection and distribution of thousands of "gently used" winter coats to men, women, children, and infants in need. Last year, they collected more than 30,000 coats throughout the state of New Jersey. This year, the goal is 40,000!
WBGO joins New Jersey companies, churches, fire departments, police stations, schools and other organizations to collect coats throughout the drive. You can bring your gently used coats to us at 54 Park Place in Newark, New Jersey. WBGO will deliver them to a central location, where volunteers then organize the donated coats and package them for pick-up. Our approved nonprofit partners then pick-up and distribute the coats to people in need.
