A new, low-cost portable isolation unit that promises to cut a number of expenditures, including those for personal protective equipment, is set to begin production soon.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced a partnership with neighboring states including New Jersey to procure PPE and other medical equipment amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The Governor says the regional purchasing consortium will increase their market power and help prevent price gouging.
