New Jersey mandolinist Barry Mitterhoff is known as an ace bluegrass player. He’s also performed with a mandolin orchestra and the blues rock band Hot Tuna.

Mitterhoff has Parkinson’s Disease but as WBGO’s Jon Kalish reports, that hasn’t prevented him from teaching.

NOTE: Jon Kalish's feature is part of WBGO's "Voices of Wellness" series which is made possible in part by a grant from the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey.

Doug Doyle has been News Director at WBGO since 1998. Since then, Doug and his news staff have received more than 300 awards from organizations like PRNDI (now PMJA), AP, New York Association of Black Journalists, Garden State Association of Black Journalists and the New Jersey Society of Professional Journalists.
