The 45th Marion Thompson Wright Lecture Series is set for Saturday, February 15 from 9:30am to 3:30pm EST at the Paul Robeson Campus Center at Rutgers-Newark.

You can be there in person or watch MTW virtually.

This year's theme is "Of No Nation: Black Activism for Transnational Liberation". The conference highlights the interplay of ideas and strategies that continue to bolster liberation efforts in the United States and abroad. This edition celebrates freedom movements that transcended geopolitical boundaries in pursuit of more just societies. Paying homage to Black anti-oppression activists and organizers around the world, "Of No Nation" emphasizes the role of Black resistance in achieving global justice–from 1619 to present.

You'll hear from esteemed speakers: Keisha-Khan Perry, Paula Marie Seniors, James "Jimmy" Garrett, and Quito Swan.

WBGO's Doug Doyle spoke with the two organizers of the event, Dr. Jack Tchen (Director) and Dr. Lacey Hunter (Associate Director) of the Clement A. Price Institute on Ethnicity, Culture and the Modern Experience.
