Bloomfield College student-athlete Tyra Brooks began her internship in the WBGO News Department this month and like a big part of her most recent semester she'll be doing most of her work online.
Brooks talks about the challenges the coronavirus pandemic presented her as a student and a member of the track team at Bloomfield College in her commentary.
Brooks was one of the Bloomfield College students to participate in the IBS Conference in New York City where the best in collage radio gather every year to celebrate their work and hear from professionals in all aspects of radio, including programming, production, news, sports and marketing.
Brooks is an outstanding student and has already contributed to Bloomfield's college radio station WBCR.
One of her Fall semester schedulec is a sports broadcasting class taught by WBGO News Director Doug Doyle.
She will also be interviewing various college and university presidents for upcoming segments on the WBGO Journal.
