On the latest edition (January 15, 2026) of Newark Today, host Michael Hill chats with Ryan Haygood, the President and CEO of the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice. They'll have a discussion about an executive order recently signed by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy that restores to those with criminal convictions the ability to serve on a jury in the Garden State.
The show will also tackle the consent decree for the Newark Police Division from the perspective of the independent monitor, former New Jersey Attorney General Peter Harvey.
