This social justice team will capture who Dr. King was and still is by diving deep into his theology and his thought process. Listeners and onlookers will be taken on a ride allowing a full scope of the man, the prophet, the icon with words, and jazz music.
  • A world premiere percussion event featuring award-winning virtuoso, Britton-René Collins. Collins has been commissioned to compose a new work on the theme of time which she will perform in a program of other solo percussion works. Britton-René is a winner of the 2020 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition and was awarded the Ambassador Prize for exceptional musicianship and demonstrating an active passion for creating social change through her music. This concert is part of a two-concert series, On Time, which includes a concert on May 29 by Brooklyn based string quartet, The Rhythm Method.
