Comedian, actor and television writer Paul Reiser is one of Hollywood’s most prolific creatives. Reiser can currently be seen in Stranger Things and The Kominsky Method, for which he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. The multi-faceted actor also recently revived one of his most iconic roles in the highly-anticipated return of Mad About You, the long-running hit 90s comedy he co-created and starred in with Helen Hunt.

“Personalism: the Theology of MLK” with Rev. Dr. David Breeden and "Spoken Word Poetry Capturing the Life and Thoughts of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, with Poet and Activist Christopher D. Sims. This social justice team will capture who Dr. King was and still is by diving deep into his theology and his thought process. Listeners and onlookers will be taken on a ride allowing a full scope of the man, the prophet, the icon with words, and jazz music.

A world premiere percussion event featuring award-winning virtuoso, Britton-René Collins. Collins has been commissioned to compose a new work on the theme of time which she will perform in a program of other solo percussion works. Britton-René is a winner of the 2020 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition and was awarded the Ambassador Prize for exceptional musicianship and demonstrating an active passion for creating social change through her music. This concert is part of a two-concert series, On Time, which includes a concert on May 29 by Brooklyn based string quartet, The Rhythm Method.

Experience a night of wine and artmaking with NJ artist Nadia Liz Estela, as she shows you how to create your own line drawing. Taking inspiration from The Newark Museum of Art collection, Nadia will talk about her practice and her process. The evening ends with curated snacks by Sterling Affair.

BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Family Show, featuring Montréal-based Cirque Kalabanté with an opening performance by Natu Camara.

Cirque Kalabanté combines breathtaking acrobatics with live music played on the traditional instruments of their native Guinea, including kora, djembe, and various percussion. The sublime Guinean singer and educator Natu Camara and her band get things started on this perfect family day in the park.
