  • Hand to Hand is propelled by 2 giant puppet hands, each the size of a house and rigged like a sailing ship, and music that blows the roof off. The Squonkers, dwarfed by the hands, climb a multi-tiered stage. Music rises from a single finger flicking an organ key, as natural an expression of humanity as a wave or a fist. Squonk’s original progressive rock drives a journey that is spectacular, plaintive, and comic. In this melee, the giant thumbs detach to become truly opposable and challenge each other with guitars.

  • On November 11, the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation, in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, will host New Jersey’s official Veterans Day Ceremony at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial located in Holmdel, New Jersey. The ceremony will take place outside and is open to all. Masks are encouraged, but not required at the Memorial. The Vietnam Era Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Indoor capacity is limited to ensure guest safety. While reservations are not required to visit the Museum, guests will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Masks are required inside the Museum regardless of vaccination status.
  • The Montclair Orchestra is excited to come to the Morris Museum with a new twist on percussion! Montclair Orchestra student Fellows and professional Mentors make up part of the New York Percussion Group, an ensemble of freelance musicians in the New York metropolitan area. In this unique and engaging program, The Montclair Orchestra will present a diverse range of works arranged especially for percussion ensemble, from classical pieces by Tchaikovsky, Richard Strauss and Bizet, to the rags and popular music of Joplin, Gershwin and George Hamilton Green.
