The Oratorio Society of New York (OSNY) presents its annual holiday tradition, Handel’s Messiah on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 8pm in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. OSNY Music Director Kent Tritle conducts the chorus and the Orchestra of the Society with featured soloists soprano Leslie Fagan, contralto Heather Petrie, tenor Joshua Blue, and baritone Sidney Outlaw. The performance includes Part I of Messiah (Christmas section), with highlights from Parts II and III, and is presented without an intermission. OSNY has been presenting Handel’s Messiah every year since 1874.

Feel the spirit when McCann brings the Eyal Vilner Big Band to perform her latest soulful tribute, “Yes Mahalia!!, at Jazzmobile’s Summerfest 2021, which is dedicated to co-founder Dr. Billy Taylor in honor of his 100th Birthday. Hear Tammy’s renditions of selections made famous by Jackson, including “How I Got Over” and Duke Ellington’s “Come Sunday.”

Monthly Jazz Jams return live at Flushing Town Hall the second Wednesday of every month! Open to professional jazz musicians, graduate students studying jazz, music educators and serious hobbyists, Louis Armstrong Legacy Monthly Jazz Jams invites musicians to perform at Flushing Town Hall. Halsey Fest is returning on September 23 from 3-8pm to welcome back residents, employees and students to Downtown Newark. The community street festival will run along Halsey Street between Central Ave to New Street. The event features music, games, art making, food, drinks, performances, mascots, giveaways, sampling and much more!
