  • Trombonist Wycliffe Gordon gained fame as an arranger, composer, and band leader. From 2005-2011 he was owner of the independent jazz label Blues Back Records and played as a sideman to prominent jazz musicians, but he is best known for his work with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, direction of Wynton Marsalis. Wycliffe can scat, multi-note, slide, and plunge, just like he stepped out of the 1930s.
