  • Drummer Vanderlei Pereira leads the dynamic Brazilian jazz sextet Blindfold Test, which boasts an unusual frontline of woodwinds and wordless vocal, backed by a burning rhythm section. Vision for Rhythm features diverse styles of Brazilian music filtered through a jazz sensibility, and includes Vanderlei’s originals as well as compositions by some of Brazil’s greatest contemporary musicians. The musicians of Blindfold Test wear blindfolds during the performance of some of the band's most challenging material in order to "level the playing field" for Vanderlei, who is blind.

  • Paul Connors Organ Trio hosts Thursday Organ Groove - a weekly residency with a featured artist.

    2 sets Thursday nights from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Jazz at The Lodge in Ossining, NY. $10 per person for admission to both sets.

    Thursdays, The Elks Lodge transforms into an old school organ parlor with a house Hammond B3 organ, Leslie speaker, and an intimate vibe for you to sit back groove to the music. Drinks and bar eats are great and inexpensive.

    During the warm months, the music goes from the front room out into the parking lot. The backlit stone walls make for a gorgeous backdrop under the stars.

    The early timing of 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm allows you to start the weekend off right on Thursday night and yet still have plenty of gas left for the rest of the weekend.

    Each month, a new 3rd trio member is the featured artist. The music is a mix of original compositions, as well as jazz, soul and funk.
  • New Orleans' own Davis Rogan returns to New York for one night of classic New Orleans rhythm and blues and his funky original music.

    Davis Rogan is an American musician and motion picture actor, writer and consultant. He has worked on Treme in several capacities. He is the inspiration for the major character Davis McAlary. He was a consultant for the series pilot "Do You Know What it Means". He was the piano coach to starring cast members Steve Zahn (who plays Davis McAlary) and Michiel Huisman (who plays Sonny) throughout the first season. His music has featured in the show several times. He also plays himself in the show. He returned as a consultant and recurring co-star for the second season in 2011.

    Alison Shearer is a saxophonist with tremendous style, lyricism and intuition whose talents have brought her around the world. Alison has appeared with Kurt Elling, Nate Smith, Charlie Hunter, Josh Groban, Big Daddy Kane, Pharoahe Monch, Ana Egge, and is a member of the band Red Baraat, whom NPR calls “the best party band in years.” She has performed at dozens of national venues including The Blue Note NYC, Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center, Merkin Concert Hall, Bowery Ballroom, Brooklyn Bowl NYC, The Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, Joe’s Pub, Arden Concert Gild, among others.

    Alison was a founding member of PitchBlak Brass Band, a ten-piece hip hop brass band that received critical acclaim from DownBeat Magazine, NPR, Live for Live Music, Brooklyn Vegan, The Wall Street Journal, and The Source Magazine. She performed with the band from 2010 – 2016. Alison formed her own quartet in 2016, united by the love of genre bending, melodic music. Alison’s debut album, View From Above was released February 18, 2022 and has received wonderful reviews in JazzTimes, The Chicago Reader, NYC Jazz Record and praise on WBGO and NPR.

Stix has performed with artist such as Dj Maseo (De La Soul), Bob Baldwin, Jessica CARE Moore and Beatbox artist Rhazel {The Roots}.
    Stix highly successful first full-length Hip Hop Jazz album entitled Groove Like This has graced the airwaves of more than forty jazz radio stations in the U.S., Jazz internet and satellite stations across the globe, and has charted in he top 10 on the digital Jazz charts while reaching the top 20 Jazz charts in France.
