    “Virtuosos on clarinet & saxophone” (New York Times), Grammy-winning Juilliard graduates and identical twins, Peter & Will Anderson have been featured soloists on the Broadway stage, at the Kennedy Center, Blue Note, Jazz at Lincoln Center, New Orleans Jazz Festival, live on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion Radio Program, and can be heard on the soundtrack of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. Vanity Fair magazine listed their album in “Four New Releases to Make You Love Jazz,” and the Washington Post said they “consistently bring a fresh perspective to classic jazz.” On Sunday, January 8th at the Blue Note, they will explore the works and life of Louis Armstrong with their sextet featuring Vince Giordano, with songs including "What a Wonderful World," "St. James Infirmary," "Hello Dolly," and "Swing that Music."

Led by Jerry Dugger on bass and vocals, and joined by David ”Doc“ French, Barry Harrison, Junior Mac, they bring together the best of New York City’s Blues talent. The band is geared toward historic, rhythmic, listenable, and danceable Blues. Audience participation is expected, as it enhances the total experience.   • Aubrey Johnson is a New York-based vocalist, composer, and educator who specializes in jazz, Brazilian, and creative contemporary music. Aubrey teaches in the jazz programs at Montclair University, Queens College, and in the voice department at Berklee College of Music. She has performed and/or recorded with Lyle Mays, Fred Hersch, Billy Childs, Jimmy Cobb, Janis Siegel (Manhattan Transfer), Randy Brecker, John Zorn’s Mycale Vocal Quartet, among many others. Among the 40+ albums Aubrey has contributed to as a side-person are Bobby McFerrin’s 2010 Grammy-nominated release VOCAbuLaries, Arturo O'Farrill's 2020 Grammy Award-winning album Four Questions, and Lyle Mays’ 2021 Grammy Award- winning recording Eberhard. Her performing and teaching has taken her throughout the US and Canada and to Central and South America, Europe, and Asia. Aubrey’s debut record, Unraveled, featuring her original music and arrangements and produced by Steve Rodby of the Pat Metheny Group, was released on Outside In Music in March of 2020. A follow-up record, Play Favorites, duo with Randy Ingram, is due out in November 2022.
